Title of Effort: Multi-Sensor Representation of Extended Scenes Using Multi-View Geometry

Objectives: The proposed effort will develop and implement algorithms to provide VSAM systems with essential capabilities for monitoring and surveillance. It will provide techniques to maintain a unified representation of static and dynamic scene information obtained by a single or multiple sensors (EO or IR) over extended periods of time. It will detect and track moving objects across sensors and fields of view. It will also provide the operator of the VSAM system with means to visualize the arena and objects.
Approach: To achieve the desired system capabilities we propose a research effort that will develop and extend the following basic technologies: trilinear tensor for alignment, dual tensor and parallax geometry for moving object detection, and manifold projection for visualization of extended scenes. A global scene manifold will provide the transformations that relate all element into a unified system.
