This directory tree contains image collections for computer vision and image processing research. Our image archive collections are stored in our own image file format (.gil format). This format is lossless-compressed by LZW applied to the pixel differences. Our server is capable of converting our format to other desired formats: to obtain an image in your desired format, simply change the file extension according to the following table and the server will transform the data as it send it to you. e.g. To fetch mandrill.r.gil in raw format, use: ftp> cd MISC/mandrill ftp> get mandrill.r.raw The extensions that we can create for you are: .raw Raw image data, 8-bit unsigned, stored in row-major order top-left pixel first. .hdr An ASCII text file containing the header information of the image: bounds, aspect ratio, original source, etc. .ps PostScript EPSF-2.0 file ready for inclusion in a document or for printing. Sub-directories: MISC: Collections of images available from other anonymous FTP sites, made available here in a consistent format. Some collections have been topically merged.
