Combined they constitute a broad set of capabilites for making "difficult measurements in difficult environments". Specifically they have been realized in the last few years by progress in 3D-stereoscopic video systems that people really want to use, by mobile robots for deployment of sensors for inspecting aircraft skins, and by their intersection: robot-deployed remote enhanced 3D-stereoscopic video applied to aircraft inspection.
