Thu 10 Mar, 1:30, WeH 4601 EXPERIMENTS IN ROBOT LEARNING Sebastian Thrun In this "incredibly prelimnary chat," I will report recent results obtained with the Xavier and Rhino robots using techniques of machine learning. In particular, I will discuss an implementation of EBNN (with reinforcement learning) for robot navigation. I will also present a half-supervised EM algorithm for learning color transitions in images that allows the robot to track people in real-time. Pizza, soda, and three video tapes showing mobile robots--including the DogBot video--should make this an enjoyable chat!
