You must fill this checklist out for the Primary Source that you choose for your project. If you discover that your Primary Source does not fit all of your needs by answering this checklist, find another one! The purpose of this checklist is to determine if your primary source is a valid one that suits your needs. You do not have to answer these questions in complete sentences!
· What is the object that you have chosen as your primary source? (Is it a: drawing, photograph, recording, letter, document, autobiography, quote….)
· Who created it?
· What information can you get about the creator? (education, background, occupation, economic status, relationship to your topic, organizations that he/she belonged to, political affiliation, religious affiliation, etc.)
· What possible biases does this primary source show?
· How does this primary source relate to your topic?
· When was this source created?
· Where did you find this primary source?
· How do you know this is a primary source?
· How will you use this primary source?
