Resource Management under Language and Application Control
Network-aware applications can adjust their resource demands in response to
changes in the availability of resources. The Remulac project investigates the design,
specification, implementation and evaluation of a software platform for
Such applications must be able to
obtain information about the current status of the network resources.
Remos (REsource MOnitoring System) is a joint
effort with the Darwin project
(an investigation of application-aware networks) in the definition of
an API that aims to provide an application with information
about its host network.
