"anonymous" ftp server (ftp.cs.wisc.edu). "Anonymous" is in quotation
marks, because we would like to know who you are -- when you login,
please give your e-mail address as the passwd. In this way, we can
learn who is using this service, and better evaluate the needs of our
users.

Here is a brief overview of the directory structure of the "anonymous"
ftp area

    /pub		publicly accessible miscellaneous archives

    /tech-reports	UW Computer Sciences Department technical reports.
			See /tech-reports/README for more information.

    /uw			University of Wisconsin CS Department information

    /coral		CORAL deductive database system

    /connectivity_table
			International Network Connectivity tables

    /condor		Condor (Distributed Batch System) software

    /exodus		EXODUS Database Toolkit software 

    /machine-learning	Archive of papers and other items on the topic
			"machine learning"

    /par-distr-sys	This directory contains papers on parallel
			programming tools, networks, and distributed
			systems.  These papers report research under
			the direction of Bart Miller.  Question can be
			directed to bart@cs.wisc.edu.

    /xunet		Wisconsin Xunet Network Project papers

    /ls-lR.Z		listing of all files in the ftp server (unix ls-lR 
			command, updated every night). Omit the ".Z" if 
			you want the server to uncompress the file before
			transfering.

    /wisc		archives for distribution to the University of
			Wisconsin -- Madison campus only

    /submit		submissions area. This directory is only writable
			by users who have requested write access. If you 
			need write access, please send e-mail to 
			"ftp@cs.wisc.edu". Items in this directory will
			be moved to their correct location soon.
