Yep, a ball-park measure.  When, in certain parts of France, you ask for
a coffee, they'll bring you a demi-tasse.  There is no need, however, to
think you're being diddled.  You seem to get as much coffee strength in
them as in "normal" cups elsewhere.  If you want a normal-sized cup, you
have to ask for a cafe-double, and, in essence, that's what you'll get:
a normal-sized cup containing two cups-worth of pick-me-up.
