There are 3 ways that this can happen:

Common ancestry (Kurdish is Indo-European, more specifically Iranian)
Borrowing
Coincidence

Here are the ones of Indo-European ancestry that seem clear to me:

>Nima/Kurdish=Nima/Slavic=I dont have
The n- part is from IE *ne-, the rest may be coincidence

>Jn/Kurdish=Jna/Russian=Woman
From IE *gwena: (g before e or i turns into dzh in Slavic and
Indo-Iranian -- English queen, Greek gune:, etc.)

>Ki/Kurdish=Ki/Italian=Who
From IE *kwi- (English who, what, etc.)

>Du/Kurdish=Du/French=Two
From IE *dwo: (English two, etc.)

>Sat/Kurdish=Sat/Polish=Hundred
From IE *kmtom (English hundred, Latin centum, Russian sto; k
becomes s in Indo-Iranian and Slavic)

>Tu/Kurdish=Tu/Italian=You
From IE *tu: (English thou, Russian ty, Sanskrit tvam, etc.)

>Hasht/Kurdish=Asht/German=Eight
From IE *okto: (English eight, Latin octo, Greek okto:,
Sanskrit as'ta:, etc.)

>Sul/Kurdish=Salty/English=Salty
from IE *sal- (English salt, etc.)

>Bra/Kurdish=Brother/English=Brother
from IE *bhra:ter- (English brother, Latin frater, Russian brat,
Sanskrit bhratar-, etc.)

>Astera/Kurdish=Star/English=Star
from IE *(@)ster- (English star, Latin stella, Greek aste:r, etc.)

>Ard/Kurdish=Earth/English=Earth
	from IE *er- "ground, earth"

>Dan/Kurdish=Dente/Italian=Tooth
from IE *dent- (English tooth, Latin dent-, Greek odont-,
Sanskrit dant-, etc.)

>Pe/Kurdish=Piede/Italian=Foot
from IE *ped- (English foot, Latin ped-, Greek pod-, Sanskrit pad-,
etc.)

>Rast/Kurdish=Right/English=Right
from IE *reg- "to make straight, lead" (Latin re:x, "king", etc.)

>Mord/Kurdish=Morto/Italian=Died
from IE *mer- "to rub away, harm"

>Dar/Kurdish=Door/English=Door
	from IE *dhwer- "door"

>Liw/Kurdish=Lip/English=Lip
from IE *leb- (English lip, Latin labium, etc.)

>Na/Kurdish=No/English=No
	from IE *ne-

	However,

>Chaqal/Kurdish=Jackal/English=Jackal

This is a classic Wander Word -- the name of the item travels
with knowledge of it.
