If all you want to do is get the spelling right a US (vice-versa a UK)  
version spell checker, as required,  would do the trick.  In the UK we 
are so plagued with US spell checkers in American sofware that our 
spelling is becoming Americanised (or Websterised) by slealth.   Give it 
a few years and your problem will disappear.
