Hi,

I was hoping that someone could tell me some or any info on the word
"silence." Any information would be appreciated. What is its origin?
Its roots? Its significance? What other words or roots are related to it?
Is it from another language other than english? What words in other
languages might it be closley related to (in a historical sense).

Any and all information is welcome. I'll really be in the debt of anyone
who can come up with something for me.

Thanks!

Humbly,

Joe
