I do know a woman named "Claudia" who goes by "Claude".  Men with tradi-
tionally women's names are rare indeed, but, in this country, women with
traditionally men's name are numerous and on the increase.  Already, 
parents are avoiding names like "Ashley" which, though originally mascu-
lines, have become too common among women to be considered "gender-neutral"
any longer.
