Hi,

The Katakana survey that I previously posted was a little too long for
most people. Sorry about that. It's much shorter now. If you'd
spend 10 minutes to fill out this survey, I'd appreciate it. The url
is:

http://mdrs1.technion.ac.il:8080/~jody/survey.html

I'm looking both for experts and novices--and those in between--to
participate. You just need a graphical WWW browser like Mosaic or
Netscape.

The data I will get from this survey will be used for my PhD thesis.
My claim is that teaching similar letters together will cause
confusion between those letters. In order to figure out which letters
are considered similar, I am running these surveys.

I've already found from an ASL survey that beginners find many
similarities that "experts" don't see. That means that those of us
who teach--the experts--don't see the same things that the beginners
do! This alone is a very interesting result, and not only for letter
learning.

Please pass this on to as many people as possible.

Thanks for helping me finish my thesis! This is the last survey I
will be doing.
