I can vouch for the quality of DECtalk output; it's very readily 
understandable. The introduction of the NT-based software only solution 
is a step forward, in my opinion.

If you're looking for other Text To Speech systems, I would also 
recommend Lernout & Hauspie - they don't have an NT system yet though, 
just 16-bit Windows (not X).
