Has anyone interface a microcontroller to the OKI MSM6388-V1?

I have a question. When you issue a EREC or EPLAY command do you really
have to sync to 2VCK signal? It looks like MCK signal is important though.
Do you send NOP, STOP command on rising or falling edge of MCK?

I plan to use an 8031 to interface to this chip. Thats why I ask is
syncing to MCK on rising or falling edge. This signal will probably be on
INT0 and D0-D3 on P1.0-P1.3 and when you need to allow 2 or 3 2VCK cycles
I'll just do a small timing loop. I hope!

Also whats the best kind of mic for this chip? They don't say in their
literature but what kind are they using in their examples?
