                  SUMMER JOB OPPORTUNITY

                  Handwriting Laboratory
              Department of Computer Science
                   Princeton University


We are looking for undergraduate and graduate students with strong C
programming skills and a solid understanding of algorithms and data
structures to work intensively on a handwriting recognition system
over this summer.  Employment will start in early June and end in late
August/early September.  The pay will be $400/week.

An understanding of one or more of the following topics is desirable
but not essential: statistical pattern recognition, digital signal
processing, computer vision, computational geometry, statistical
language models, and text compression.
