At the Dayton Hamvention last weekend I picked up a box labelled

	ML-I MULTI-LINGUAL VOICE SYSTEM
	Votrax
	Vocal Interface Division
	Federal Screw Works

It was made in Troy, Michigan, and is about 12" x 12" x 6" in size.

Now that it's part of my collection of talking things, I was wondering
if anyone on the net could help me locate documentation. What year was
this thing made?

I also saw the chassis of something called an "Automatic Number Announcing
System" - but it had no innards, so I didn't buy it. Anyone seen one of
those?

Let me widen my sights. I hereby solicit descriptions, pointers to,
anecdotes about, and comments on any "Vintage" speaking machinery. If
it's in current production or in the Comp.speech FAQ I don't want to
hear about it. However, I would like to begin a listing of a more historical
nature, which I will eventually post as a summary to the net.
