Excerpts from the Friday, 29 April '94 _Wall_Street_Journal_:

...[thursday.] Kurzweil unveiled what it said was the first Windows
dictation product, Kurzweil Voice for Windows. The product, expected
to retail for $995... automatically adapts to speech patterns,
boosting recognition accuracy, the company said.
The product allows voice input for dictation, enabling the user to
create text and enter data simply by speaking to Windows-based
applications.... It may begin shipping by the end of May.
