Position: Senior Research Associate (full time).

The Speech Technology Research Group is seeking to employ a person to
investigate, design and document the specification of a generic speech
recognition system. Ideally, the person employed would have a Bachelor's
Degree in Computer Science including courses in signal processing, or a
Bachelor of Engineering with several years of experience in complex software
systems specification.  The successful applicant will need good computer
skills, and a knowledge of signal processing, good spoken English and
presentation skills, and an ability to write clear technical English.  As the
Speech Technology Research group is interdisciplinary, the successful
applicant will also need good interpersonal skills.  Some experience in speech
processing would be desirable.

The position is available for 6 months in the first instance, with the
possibility of extension.
