You might want to add the KlattTalk speech synthesis software:
svr-ftp.eng.cam.ac.uk:/comp.speech/sources/klatt-0.02.tar.Z

Also see the many others listed in Q5.4 of the FAQ (note that
some are text-to-speech while others are speech synthesis).
Although they might not run on Intel, Motorola, or PPC hardware
"out of the box," source code is often available and they could
be ported (fingers crossed).

Have formal subjective listening tests been performed on Eloquence
vs others, e.g., Apple's MacInTalkPro 2?  Is the demonstration tape
available on the 'net, e.g., via anonymous ftp?
