I am currently finishing up a public domain speech synthesizer for Windows.
There are a few bugs, but the speech DOES work with the standard PC speaker
and the SPEAK.EXE drivers from Microsoft off of CICA. My current problem is
with the asynchronous nature of Windows WAV files played on sound boards -
it throws the synthesizer out of wack after the space pause.
- This is only a port of SPEAK.tar.Z for the Sun platform
- Source code was ruthlessly ported from it - so it IS PD
- It don't quite work yet.

If anyone can mail me a list of FTP sites with source for a better method of
speech synthesis than the method used in SunSpeak - TELL ME - This version
has a bit of trouble with quite a few english words.

FTP to caesun6.corp.harris.com ... get /pub/winvoice/WINVCE09.ZIP

And if it crashes your soundcard - don't blame me! I just got one myself, and it
isn't completely debugged and releasable yet... This is version .9 beta
