I would like some help locating some readily available references
for the following things:

1. The JIS and Shift-JIS Character Codes (an ISO standard I think).
2. Extended Unix Codes (EUC)
3. The number of kanji characters an average Japanese high school graduate
   can read (about 3,000 I think).

I would appreciate full references (suitable for publication). It
would be nice if the references were from English language textbooks
and available internationally.
