We are a group of students working on an engineering project for our
association, which involves taking voice input from the user, and then
using it to remotely control the movement of a model car.

We have managed a cheap hardware solution using the VCP200 chip, but
are looking for better alternatives. Ours funds are limited, so
we are looking for something bellow $100. The commands we need to
be implemented are simple words like : STOP, TURN LEFT, LIGHTS etc.
I would appreciate some info. on available software for voice recognition
on the IBM PC (Soundblaster) and the Macintosh that would be suited for
this project.

Please mail info. To: aziz@cae.wisc.edu
