Dear Jilles Groenendijk

  | I'd like to make a DOS program which can recognise
  | Dail-Tone-Multi-Frequency tones. What I want to do is connect my
  | Telephone to my Soundblaster card, and let the program find out, what
  | numbers are pressed. This could either be real-time. Or afterwards.

You must mean Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency. There are hardware boards (in
fact, chips) that do this in realtime. Probably better to buy one of those,
instead of opting for a software solution.
