First, sbtalker and MONOLOG are essentially the same product. BOTH are
from First Byte. Monolog as bundled with the Media Vision PAS 16 might
be a later(improved?) version of the sbtalker library which was the basis
of the Dr. SBAITSO program that was bundled with SoundBlaster 1.5 and 2.0.

Second, I have not heard of Provoice, but MONOLOG-16 for Windows is included
in the Media Vision PAS-16 POWERPAK upgrade($59 includes LABTEK microphone
and several upgraded MV applications). Unfortunately, it does not seem to
be significantly better than the MONOLOG that shipped with the PAS-16.
Perhaps its just a Windows port to use Clipboard, DDE, and Excel? Also,
unlike MONOLOG, MONOLOG-16 won't run on a 286-based machine. It requires
a 386 or above.
