Apple is supposed to introduce completely reworked speech synthesis
on their new "av" (dsp) machines next month, as well as their Casper(spell?)_
speech recognition system. The speech synthesis is said to be configurable
in quality (vs. memory) and has presets for several languages incl. japanese.

Anyone know more about this?
