Apologies if anyone thinks this is too basic a question,
but: I have an Amiga 2000 and the Aztec "C" compiler.
The compiler manual says absolutely nothing (that I
can find) about how one would create speech from a "C"
program. I realize that English text has to be
converted to phonemes, and I don't need to do this on the
fly; I could pre-process the text using BASIC if I had to...

Given that I have my text already converted to
phonemes, I need to know what I would have to do from
a "C" program to get it out to the speaker. I'm looking
at writing a program that would take a script for a play,
with encoded blocking information, and read the play while
it moved "actors" around the "stage" so that I could work out
preliminary blocking with an extremely cooperative cast :-)

Anybody able to provide a brief description (if it can
be described briefly), pointers to books, etc.? Does
anybody know if there is a set of C libraries I could
get that might even do the text-phoneme conversion?

Email or post answers; I'll post a summary once I get
	it working. Thanks!
