Do you catch compiler bugs if you use both compile-time and runtime
checking? What would be the problems with source-to-source translation
from Smalltalk to ADA, or a Smalltalk2ADA compiler that allows one to
statically typecheck the Smalltalk code while still having Smalltalk's
runtime checks and semantics in the end-user program? Hardly trivial, of
course, but perhaps someone has an idea of exactly what Smalltalk
semantics would be "impossible" to recode in ADA.
