Sigh.  Is it really that hard to pick through the relatively small
number of messages in this newsgroup to filter out the PPS specific
ones?  IMHO, we need LESS fragmentation of the various Smalltalk
communities, not MORE. Smalltalk has a fair shot at becoming widely
used, but it's far from guaranteed. The biggest need is for a critical
mass of third party applications to match the flood of "component
ware" available for other Visual XXX tools.  3rd party Smalltalk
vendors currently have to choose to either limit their market to PPS
(or Digitalk or IBM or ...) or to contend with porting to multiple
environments.  Sure cuts down on the opportunity to leverage your
development dollar.  Or they can write for Visual Basic or Visual C++
and sell to 10x - 100x the market.

Splitting the newsgroup apart?  I don't think so.
