Well ... sound's good in SF (Like the demolition man crap).
A Sentient computer is possible (probably) but it is so unreachable 
that no one can build something like that without loosing something ...
A computer can reach imagination but then it will reach mistakes as 
well which will render him nothing better than a human.
BTW a mistake in the very big meaning of the word.
