Jim. Many thanks for your posting. When I asked my questions, I genuinely
want answers. You simply pose further questions. I asked what causes me
to select? You reply what causes the cause which allows me to select? I
reply what causes me to select that previous cause. You reply what causes
the cause which allowed you to select. We can go on for ever. We can go
back to Adam and Eve (;-) or the Big Bang when you really have a problem
since you cannot lead me back to a cause before that ...or can you?
My selecting process is not an open or shut switch. It can be a
qualitative process. What causes me to select this redness rather than
that redness? Why do I select Mozart and not Hardinott?
I am not happy with you insistence that this is deterministic.
I am very surprised that do not accept the existence of quantum fields
when the bio-chemicals at atomic level lose or gain the energy sufficient
to change orbit with the consequences of molecular release.
Do you want the refs. in the science journals?
Please help. It is important for me to include some original thinking
into a book which I am drafting (not on free will!)
Best wishes. John.
Are you a nerd- if that is the word? Can you explain how my last message
appeared in another newsgroup to which I subscribe?
