Interestingly, the subject of curiosity is an issue in AI, as your posting
so vividly demonstrates.  The classical AI algorithms are mostly
deductive, eliminating the possibility of curiosity. Or, they're inductive
within a finite set of facts, eliminating the possibility of curiosity.  

Of course, curiosity is constrained by perception...and the perception of a 
restriction is like waving a red flag at a bull to the curious.
