If you need structured light images with or without motion
let me know. This past week we did such an experiment for
Chia Hoang Lee at Purdue, using the system described in
our paper on Structured Light in the IEEE Trans SMC Special
Issue on Computer Vision, Nov/Dec 1989.

This is in response to Police image processing issue.

I found a short article in SPINOFF column on IEEE Spectrum, vol.26,
no.12(sorry, I don't have original title but in Japanese). From the
article, Los Angels Police and South Wales Police have
introduced similar system in 1988. Edicon, Ltd., a subsidiary of Eastman
Kodak has developed a networked system of suspect retrieving and sold it
to Rochester Police, NY, it says. No specific information about image
processing part was provided.

Hope it helps,
