As an admirer of Alan Turing's from way back, and also one who has been 
fascinated by AI and the Turing Test for years, and as one who would 
recommend using the Turing Test as *a* test for AI though not ever *the* 
test, I STILL have to say:

BRAVO!  Your points strike me as valid, and both cogently and succinctly 
stated.  Your post should be in the FAQ.
