This may have been answered elsewhere, but the American Bookseller's
Association designates a "Banned Books Week" every year. Among the
materials they produce for booksellers are lists of banned books,
reports on censorship, and bookstore promotional items such as T-shirts,
posters, etc.

There's also an organization called "Booksellers for Free Expression"
which looks at censorship issues in Congress, lobbies against
bookseller liability legislation ("It's those books I bought at
Daltons that made me do heinous crimes--sue them since I don't have
any money here on Death Row"), etc.

Any good independent bookstore should know about Banned Books Week,
and they may have some of the reference materials on school and
library banning mentioned above.
