The latest attempt by Marvin Minsky to construct an AI capable of passing the
Turing test has failed catastrophically. Posting under the alias Mikhail
Zeleny from Harvard (an attempt to direct attention away from MIT), the AI's
final utterances included:

"I really don't give a fuck whether you, or anybody else,
decide to patronize me or to belittle me; on the other hand, I happen to
give a fuck when someone decides to fuck with them old Platonic Ideals"

Apparently the speech modules of the left hemisphere analog were damaged
allowing the right hemisphere dominance resulting in a Tourette's syndrome like
failure mode.

In an attempt to maintain the illusion of personhood, the communications with
the AI were terminated with the following posting:

"Since the Harvard University Math. Department, in its infinite wisdom, has
reassessed my tenuous connection with its mainstream activities, and
decided to cut me off from their computer network, lest I should succeed in
completing my long-suffering thesis, I find myself obligated to bid a fond
farewell to all my Internet friends and adversaries. So long; it's been a
giggle."

Rumor has it that Minsky's next AI incarnation will post from a tufts.edu
address.
