If we regard Hao Wang's ( "Reflections on Kurt G|del", MIT Press
1987, ISBN 0-262-23127-1) as a reliable source on G|del's
philosophical development the passage above on Godel belonging to the
"school" of logical positivism is inaccurate.
G|del's philosophical position was already in those days quite
different from "logical positivism".

By the way, has anyone seen the book "Conversations with Kurt G|del"
by Hao Wang?

best regards Anders

"The fact that there seems to be a big gap in quality between
the works of Wittgenstein and most of his followers would
appear to indicate that there is much more to the method than
can be learnt from Wittgenstein's teaching"

Hao Wang in "From Mathematics to Philosophy".
