I always find myself a bit surprised when I encounter anyone who takes Bloom
seriously, but maybe I just run in the wrong circles! What Heidegger has to
contribute to artificial intelligence seems to be largely based on his own
attempts to explain Husserl, most of whose writings are ALSO impenetrable
and tend to have a very hard time of it when renedered in the English language.
However, there is one Husserl title in English that I found both readable and
fascinating; and I was delighted to discover after reading it that one Husserl
authority I admire calls it the only English translation of Husserl worth
reading. I hope readers will not mind if I simply copy the entry from my
Scribe/LaTeX bibliography file:

@Book(Husserl,
	Title="The Crisis of European Sciences and Transcendental
	Phenomenology",
	Publisher="Northwestern University Press",Key="Husserl",
	Author="Husserl, E.",Year="1970",
	Address="Evanston, IL",
	Note="Translated from the German, with an Introduction, by D. Carr",
	FullAuthor="Edmund Husserl")

A more specialized volume which I also found very valuable is the following:

@Book(Miller,Title="Husserl, Perception, and Temporal Awareness",
	Publisher="The MIT Press",Key="Miller",Author="Miller, I.",
	Year="1984",Address="Cambrdige, MA",FullAuthor="Izchak Miller")

This again provides a very readable exposition. On the other hand I have NOT
been particularly excited by any of the Dreyfus material I have read.
