Not only that, but when I emailed this person a gentle reminder they replied
in a rude and offensive manner. Newbies would do well to remember that the
scientific community is "smaller" than they think, and a rude response to a
complete stranger may have severe repercussions later on when they submit
a paper, sit a viva, or whatever.
