Bleahh, uniforms.  :-)  Actually, I think uniforms are a relatively good idea.
I think it would reduce some of the belligerency that results from being able 
to hide behind your "clothes with an attitude".  Also, it would make it more 
difficult for kids to judge each other by appearance, which kids love to do.

HOWEVER.

Girls should _not_ be required to wear skirts, which are extremely cold in the 
winter.  In addition, old parochial school type styles are outdated.  Kids 
should be told to purchase pants and shirts of a certain color and style, but 
allowed to choose materials and fits that are comfortable at a store of their 
choice.

I am a senior in high school.
