I have that paper by Jeffery Kephart in front of me. He is the person in IBM
in New York. I think this could be just what you are looking for. It is
titled "A biologically inspired immune system for computers" The paper is
available on-line. Sorry I cannot give you the exact site - I have been trying
to track it down for at least the past half hour but the line is incredibley
slow. It should not be too hard to find. Use Veronica to search for computer
viruses and you will come across the gopher entry for the IBM anti-virus
research centre. They are at least two papers (in postscript) available here
by Kephart.
