Well, the hertz and its derivatives are not the exclusive province of those
involved in electronics.  You should widen your horizons.

A millihertz is not far off the frequency at which an at-home long TV-movie
watcher might visit the fridge and the toilet.

And then consider tides.  They're of the order of 25 *microhertz*.
