I was wondering if anybody could help me out with the
following english translations of some latin proverbs.
I would like to know the original Latin phrases..

`In these matters the only certainty is that nothing is certain'
(Pliny the Elder)

`Things are not always what they seem'
(Phaedrus)

`Whatever it is, i fear the greeks even when they bring gifts'
(.............., timeo danaos et dona ferentes??)
(virgil)

`If all men's miseries, the bitterest is this: to know so much, and
have control over nothing'
(Herodotus)

I would very much appreciate any help.
Please respond by email as well.

Regards,
Felix
