In modern Hebrew it is called "Shvil hakhalav"
(kh - the Hebrew /HET/ sound)
which means the milk path.
shvil - path
khalav- milk
ha - the

In Elder times it was know as 'nahar di-nur'  "the river of fire"  (Daniel 7 10)
(may be different in different bible translations)
nahar - river
nur - fire
di - of (in Aramaic)
