Incidentally, it's amusing to find someone complaining about a
perceived GB-ish overtone to the FAQ when this group is dominated
by postings by people who clearly know nothing about linguistics.
If you're concerned, join the Linguist list.  It's moderated, and
the fluff tends to get eliminated.
