I would recommend the following for reference:

"Smalltalk Market Accelerates," by IDC (Internantaional Data Corporation),
number: 9818-R1, volume: Object Tools, March 1995. This report includes case
studies on Texas Instruments and Celestica Inc. (a subsidiary of IBM) using
the GemStone object application server to build large scale mission critical
three tier client/server Smalltalk applications.

"Three Tier client/Server Architectures & Application Partitioning," white
paper published by GemStone Systems, Inc. (formerly Servio Corp.), describing
new solutions for building enterprise wide applications and leveraging the
power of business objects. Two case studies are also enclosed
describing the mission critical 3 tier client/server Smalltalk applications at
Bell Sygma and BC Hydro.

I would be happy to send you either of these reports as well as information
on GemStone. Please e-mail me directly.
