For me that definition is very adequate. Truth is relative. Persuing
the absolute truth might not be a wise thing to do. It might have bad
consequences. On the other hand, by knowing these consequences, one
might arrive at wiser decisions. That in this dictionary definition it
is left in the middle what is true and false, is IMO the right (wise)
thing to do.
