There have been several recent posts re: using GAs for non-player
game characters. This is a major topic covered in my "AI Agents
in VR Worlds" book (published a few months ago by J. Wiley).

I think that using GAs only makes sense when you have a fairly
large population of non-player characters (so that you have a
sufficiently large population).
