Hi everybody!

I am a student of c-sci. We just started doing Smalltalk with Visual
Works (UNIX/Sun)
The language is fascinating, I'm almost through the Smalltalk-80 ref.
book by Goldberg
after only two weeks!

I would like to work on it on my own and I am looking for a version that
runs on PC
(NT) for free or an affordable student price. Heard about 'little
smalltalk', but
this is not very convincing: "... but very non-standard in the way
instances are
created, and the library structure." (from smalltalk-for-mac.txt)

So folks, where can I a) find a GOOD & FREE Smalltalk or b) get sth good
for a low price?

PLEASE REPLY BY E-MAIL AS WELL!

Tx in advance,
Mike
