            The New York Smalltalk Users Group's
                  Intermediate Study Group
                CARS Project Monthly Meeting

The next monthly meeting of the NYSTUG Intermediate Study Group on
Thursday, April 11, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm will be held at the world
headquarters of the Evolving Technologies Corporation, One Wall
Street Court, New York, NY 10005-3302. Please confirm attending so ETC
can notify security. For RSVP contact:

        Steve Roffman   (212) 293-7370  sroffman@ix.netcom.com;
        Jeff Britton       (718) 403-2724  jbritton@bug.com;
        Ravi Khatri        (212) 664-6439  CIS: 76450,2563; or
        Rich Adler         (914) 783-0859  radler@infi-net.com

The meeting will cover the next stage of development on the CARS Project,
our Computer Automated Ride-Sharing system study group. This meeting
will focus on the integration of a geographic mapping interface for the web
along with a web-based development environment for team members working
remotely, upgrading our database software, plus discussions about early
demos and many more important topics.

So, if you don't know where ETC is (just off Wall Street & Pearl); or
you haven't been able to join the study group and want to now, don't
hesitate. This is an entry point in the project, especially for intermediate
smalltalkers who want some first hand experience with VisualWave,
VisualAge & WebParts (beta), Object/FX, Versant and Gemstone along with
a chance to help architect and design a system on a world-wide scale. You
must be able to contribute time/expertise to the project.

Hope to hear from you and look forward to seeing you there!
